Terms you will see in game descriptions, with the meaning used on this site.

io: A style of online game with a simple start, usually played against other players in one shared space.
runner: A game where the character keeps moving forward and you steer or time your moves.
co-op: Players work together toward the same goal instead of against each other.
turn-based: Players move one after another; nothing happens while it is not your turn.
platformer: A game about running and jumping across platforms to reach an exit.
simulator: A game that copies a real activity, such as running a shop, at a simple level.
high score: The best result you have reached so far, which the next attempt tries to beat.
local play: Several players using the same device or keyboard.
